This is a fun and enjoyable course that focuses on the study of informal English used in movies and television shows. You will learn about English Idioms, idioms and proverbs. The program is designed to help increase your understanding of common idioms used in North American culture.
Focus: Vocabulary study of different kinds of usage of idioms and phrasal verbs.
Topics Include : Idioms at the restaurant, idioms at work and popular proverbs.
Each week you will examine a different movie or TV show. Some of the shows you will study include:
- Sex and the City
- Ratatouille
- Pulp Fiction
- Friends
- Rocky
- Borat and many more
You will study the idioms used in these TV shows or Movies. There is a presentation at the end of each week. The program runs for 12 weeks. You can join any Monday!
